After a prolonged absence from the stage and our community spaces, Sarvavidya Natyaalaya returns to Gandhi Hall with the production for the love of dance. As the title suggests, this show is an expression of joy, beauty and the love of movement. After almost two years of online teaching and learning, all students of SVN will finally perform on stage again, and for some young dancers this will be the first time they discover the stage, something we do not take lightly, watching new experiences is truly inspiring for us.
At SVN our vision is constant, to create a community and audience who is appreciative of art, dance and music. Through artforms that have roots in an Indian ancestral lineage, our students learn about confident self-expression, beauty in art, dance as vocabulary, positive body-imaging and the power and potential of community and mentorship.
This has been a joint effort of choreography and teaching, between teachers of SVN and the Sarvavidya Dance Ensemble, we are deeply grateful for a team of dedicated and passionate dancers who share in our greater vision.
